Feeling Safe in Sunderland
Young people attending the Children's Trust Advisory Network (CTAN) met with Jane Held, Interim Chair of Sunderland Safeguarding Children Board (SSCB) to discuss how safe they felt in Sunderland. As a result, the young people have devised a short questionnaire (see below link) for young people in Sunderland to complete. The results of the survey will be used to inform the SSCB's business plan going forward. Please could you circulate the link above to any young person that you are working with? Many thanks for your co-operation in this matter.

Sunderland Safeguarding Children Board (SSCB) was established in Sunderland in October 2004 following the drive to improve outcomes for children. It was formed as a statutory requirement of the Children Act 2004.
The SSCB is a key multi agency statutory mechanism for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children in Sunderland. It has high-level officer representation from partner agencies, both statutory and voluntary, across the City. The SSCB structure consists of a number of sub committees that carry out specific functions in relation to the SSCB's responsibilities.
